Dear Zainab,
How are you? You have the same name as my first daughter. Funny abi? Anyways, I have a simple question that I need your help with. I started my business in the early 2000s and as such my business didn’t and doesn’t have a website. Many of my friends and employees have been suggesting for a while now that the business needs a website but I really didn’t see the need as we have been doing well without it. Recently though I realised how much more we could do with a website and even social media presence. So I decided to reach out to you to ask what I need to know legally about having a website for my business as I like to do things properly.
Thanks.
Oldtimer businessman
Dear Oldtimer businessman,
Awwwn… I am fine and I hope you are too. Thank you for reaching out. I am glad you decided to have a website for your business, as a website gives you the advantage of being accessible beyond your normal office hours and makes it easier for your customers to buy from you and for prospective customers find you and learn about you.
To have a website, there are few things you should have in place. First is your Privacy policy which is how you detail your company’s views and procedures on the information you receive from your users. You also want to have your terms and conditions as the user must accept your terms and conditions in the agreement in order to use the website.
Another thing you want to consider is to make your company information visible on your website. Information such as your registered or incorporated business name, official logo, and your registered office address are some important ones.
You can get more information by reading this article on our website.
Say me well to your daughter 🙂
Keep succeeding Old timer businessman.
